Key takeaway
You are mad at your sponsor, and calling them feels impossible, and not calling feels like danger. You can go to a meeting without them. A desire to stop drinking is yours, not a mood they have to approve. Say the anger later, in a plain sentence, or talk to someone else tonight. Do not drink it.

They said something, or they did not call back, or they were right in a way that made you want to throw the phone. You are mad, and under the mad is the old instruction: do not isolate, call your sponsor. The instruction and the anger are in a standoff. A drink would feel like a way to adjourn the standoff. You know how that adjournment ends.
You can be angry and still go to a meeting that is not their living room.
The desire to stop drinking is yours. It is the membership line. P-15 offers shared experience. It does not say your sobriety is canceled when you are furious at the person who sponsors you. You can listen at a meeting without reporting the fight. There are no dues or fees. Leave their name out of the share.
Use a room that is not the argument
Go tonight, even if you do not dial them. Meeting Guide will list one. aa.org will not. The meetings search is unverified. Confirm the time. A phone meeting works if every local room feels like it might contain them. Tomorrow, if you still need to, say the plain sentence: what they did, and what you need. Not tonight, if tonight would be a bonfire.
If the anger is because they harmed you, you do not have to keep them. You also do not have to decide the whole relationship before midnight. If you are in danger, call 911. NIDA says none of this is clinical care.
Tonight
Go listen somewhere they are not the topic. Do not drink the standoff. Call them when you can be both honest and done talking. If you might hurt yourself, call or text 988. A treatment referral is (800) 653-9376. Calling is free. Treatment providers pay for the referral.

Common Questions
Do I have to call them while I am this angry?
No. You can wait until you can say one true sentence without a war. P-15 is shared experience about sponsorship. It does not require you to like them every night. You can go to a meeting in the meantime. The desire to stop drinking does not route through their phone.
Does anger mean the sponsorship is over?
Not by itself. Sometimes it means a hard conversation tomorrow. Sometimes it means you need a different person. You do not have to decide that at midnight. You do have to not drink over the decision.
Who do I talk to if not them?
Another person in the program, or a meeting where you do not put their full grievance on the share. Anonymity includes them. A phone meeting lets you listen without prosecuting anyone. There are no dues or fees.
What if they were actually unkind?
You can say so, later, and you can stop asking them for help. You are allowed to change. Tonight is for staying stopped, not for the closing argument. If you are unsafe with them, do not meet them alone. Call 911 if you are being threatened.
What if the anger wants a drink or worse?
Get to a meeting or call or text 988 if you might hurt yourself. NIDA says sponsorship and meetings are not treatment. Call (800) 653-9376 for a treatment referral. Calling is free. Treatment providers pay for the referral.
